The Committment Choice

Baptism Week! We met at the MARC to celebrate baptisms this week, and we learned about being meek, humble. The beattitude we read was “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” Nate explained this idea of “meekness” in an eye-opening example, describing this word used of wild horses being tamed. Being meek, or being humble, doesn’t mean that you are weak. To the contrary, it means having enormous power, under control, as a strong powerful horse is tamed and obedient to its owner. With this understanding, we discussed the committment choice we make to Jesus, and why baptism is our expression of it. Join us next week as we continue through the series Life’s Healing Choices!
